Item Description
An aesthetic cabinet sized display specimen from the famed Shigar Valley featuring a pair of lustrous, jet-black, prismatic, striated crystals of Schorl Tourmaline which are associated with cream colored Microcline on the back. If you look closely, the Schorl crystals are slightly bent, and you can see there are some scars along the prisms where the crystals were disrupted and slightly broken due to tectonic activity underground, but they later "healed" and started growing at a slightly different angle, so they have a natural curvature. The piece is in good shape overall, though the lower ends of the Schorl crystals are broken where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. \
