Schorl with Feldspar

An attractive and architectural piece, this Schorl/Feldspar combination hails from the Braldu Valley in the Himalayas of Pakistan. The luster is excellent, and all the Schorls are either sharply terminated or etched/regrown on the termination. The etching allows you to see the layering and internal growth patterns of these Tourmalines. The main crystal is 5.5 cm. The white Feldspars are euhedral and range up to .6 cm. A good, attractive specimen, it was originally priced at $250.
