Item Description

Brilliant luster jet-black terminated schorl crystals in aesthetic stellate crystal habit form a sculptural and pristine small cabinet from the famous Erongo Mountains of Namibia. The crystals reach 3.4 cm and are strikingly accented by the large band and isolated creamy albite crystals. The unusual terminations on this excellent piece indicate that this is an uncommon tourmaline combination. The terminations are probably composed of typical small rod-like crystals of Foitite, a rare member of the Tourmaline Group. Correct identification is only possible by suitable analytical methods. Complete all-around and pristine. Classic material from the Erongos.
