Item Description
An unusual specimen of Schorl from the famed Shigar Valley featuring many sharp, lustrous, prismatic, jet-black crystals in a semi-parallel growth, free of matrix. The largest crystal was difficult to isolate, but I found one that measures 1.3 cm. There is a slight curvature to the crystals on one side, and the highly reflective luster allows the piece to shimmer in the light. A few crystals are broken, so it's not pristine, but it's an oddball Tourmaline specimen, not just for Pakistan, but in general, as you don't see clusters of crystals like this from most localities.
