Schorl Tourmaline

An unusual style Schorl Tourmaline from the famous Shigar Valley in Pakistan featuring dozens of crystals in a semi-parallel growth free of matrix. The thin jet black prisms have a bright glistening luster which can be seen on ever side of the specimen. Minor attached white feldspar along with tiny sparkling Muscovite and Quartz can be seen under magnification. It's important to note that while many of the crystals are terminated on one end of the specimen, nearly all of them are incomplete on the other end. This is a hard one to photograph, and really looks better in person. An odd specimen that would make a nice addition to any Tourmaline suite or a collection of minerals from Pakistan.
