Item Description
For sheer beauty and composition this is one of the nicest Schorls I have seen from Erongo. The interpenatrating Schorls are virtual twins - superb luster and form. Aesthetic is an understatement for this bright, glassy specimen. The largest of the two, just by a bit, is 4.5 x 4.5 cm. Some small, gemmy Smokies along the back and on the upper corner add a very nice accent to the terrific Schorls. They are pristine, and fabulous. And like virtually all the really dark minerals, so much better in person when you can see the subtle plays of luster and symmetry in reflections off the glassy faces. I would rank this among the most lustrous schorl crystals I have seen and handled, and it is VERY MUCH more impressive in person, thus. Valued $1200-1500
