Schorl (Schlichter Coll.)

Item Description

Particularly splendent, unusually formed, well-striated, parallel-growth, schorl crystals form a showy and sculptural specimen from the Erongos. The silvery-green to black crystals have a striking chatoyance and are partially translucent. The back is richly covered with tiny pearlescent muscovite blades. Some of the terminations are contacted and some are broken, but certainly have minimal impact on this very bright and unusual schorl. Ex Schlichter Collection. Valued at $150-200.
