Item Description
Lustrous, jet-black, schorl prisms are festooned on all sides of this large muscovite and feldspar rich pegmatite matrix block. Crystals reach 9.5 cm on this rare, old specimen from an obscure New Hampshire pegmatite quarry. Yes, most of the schorls are damaged, but this remains a very significant and rare large example of the species from this uncommon, old locale. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection. 6.2 pounds or 2.8 kilos.
