A RARE, superb and rich topaz combination specimen from this extinct tungsten mine in the Erongo Region. MINDAT lists both topaz and schorl, but there are no examples in the locality Photo Gallery. The sculptural 360-degree crust is composed solidly of very glassy, gemmy, textbook, lightly tinted topaz crystals, reaching 1.0 cm. A dramatically set 2.2 cm, lustrous, jet-black terminated schorl crystal plus a few scattered tiny quartz points are outstanding accessories. Exceptional, extremely rare and highly desirable topaz and schorl from the Krantzberg Mine and the Shields Flynn Namibia Collection. Value for such a rich combination rarity? We feel $750-1000 is fair.
