Item Description
Dense radiating sprays of lustrous schorl crystals richly endow both sides of the sculptural large milky quartz matrix. The showy and excellent combination specimen is very rare material from the obscure Ore Hill Mine of New Hampshire. This massive sulfide deposit was discovered in 1834 and was worked intermittenly until 1915. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 3754 and acquired in 1990.
