Item Description

Well-crystallized schorl specimens from the famous old Rice Mine at Groton, New Hampshire are uncommon and doubly-terminated pieces are very rare and desirable. Two, highly lustrous, sharp and equant, jet-black, doubly-terminated schorls are jauntily set in quartz matrix. The large schorl is 5.8 cm across. Both schorls are in great shape, with the smaller crystal having a bit more out of sight contacting. Ex. Robert Whitmore Collection
