Item Description
A lovely association specimen featuring a 2.6 cm jet-black, lustrous, striated prism of Schorl Tourmaline sitting atop a sculptural mound of beige-cream colored, blocky Orthoclase crystals creating a showy overall piece. I love how the Orthoclase crystals have formed a "crown" or a "turret" around the Schorl crystal. You can see a bit of a pyramidal termination on the left side of the Schorl where it's nestled up against the Orthoclase. A small amount of colorless Opal-AN (formerly "Hyalite" Opal) can be seen on the specimen, but it glows a brilliant green hue under SW UV light. An eye-catching and three-dimensional display piece of this fine quality material from Erongo.
