Item Description

Schorl specimens are rare from these well-known, but long extinct Conneticut pegmatite quarries. Sharp, lustrous, schorl crystals to 3.9 cm are richly and attractively scattered on the striking, complimentary CABINET matrix plate of scintillating, silvery, muscovite schist. Probably old-time material from this classic locale, but no proof. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection.
