Schorl on Albite ex Obodda

Item Description

A very rich and showy schorl small cabinet from a much less well-known Pakistan locale - Basha Nala. A dense jumble of lustrous, black terminated prisms covers the starkly contrasting, blocky, pearlescent, albite matrix. The schorls reach 1.7 cm long. The interior is very nearly pristine, with only a couple of hard-to-see broken crystals and the bit of periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction. An excellent and rich example from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued by Herb at $500, more than five years ago.
