Schorl & Muscovite on Feldspar (Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

Fano Mine schorls are uncommon and are sought-after by California collectors when they become available. An aesthetically placed 5.7 cm lustrous, well-striated, terminated crystal to 5.0 cm proudly rises upward from the matrix of tiny pearlescent muscovites on feldspar crystals. There are two clean repairs to the schorl and its termination is coated. The piece displays well without aid. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
