Item Description
A glistening, highly aesthetic, multi-crystal / multi-terminated group of jet-black Schorl Tourmaline crystals measuring up to 2.3 cm are intergrown to create this showy display specimen. The luster really stands out as it really shines even in moderate lighting. The piece is in superb shape, with only a few little nicks on the back / bottom, but it's nearly crystallized all the way around and is close to being a complete "floater". These Schorls are some of the finest examples of the species from any world locality in terms of size, quality and aesthetics. Valued at $600. Ex Charlie Key personal collection. Charlie is arguably the most sucessful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
