Item Description

A big majority of the Schorl crystals you'll see from the Shigar Valley are singles, or possibly a group with a handful of crystals, but this piece is a far cry from "typical" as it features a beautiful group of dozens of very lustrous, sharp, well-formed, striated, jet black colored trigonal prisms in semi-parallel growth with minor associated Feldspar and Mica. There are dozens of attractive pyramidal terminations that can be seen, all with glistening reflective faces. The piece is not undamaged, as you will find some crystals are contacted, but the unique growth style/formation combined with the visceral beauty are simply not seen very often from any locality in Pakistan. A cool piece for any fan of pegmatite minerals, Tourmalines or minerals of Pakistan.
