Item Description

A beautiful combo specimen from Dassu, Pakistan featuring a prominent, very sharp, rather lustrous, well-formed, jet-black prismatic trigonal crystal of Schorl Tourmaline with a gorgeous pyramidal termination on one end, and the other end featuring a mint-green, cuboctahedral crystals of GEMMY Fluorite measuring 1.6 cm along with little white groups of Albite var: Cleavelandite for a great touch. I will say that the end of the Schorl with the Fluorite has a crude termination, but I looked closely and you can see it's at least partially crystallized. It's important to note that it's rare to find Tourmaline and Fluorite together from most localities (think of all the Tourmalines you've seen from places like Brazil, Afghanistan, San Diego County, etc., and how few of them have any associated Fluorite) and this piece is rather distinctive as you rarely see a solitary crystal flaring off the end of the Tourmaline like this. The piece is in superb condition, with no major damage I can find with the naked eye. A really eye-catching and arguably unique display specimen of this beautiful material. Valued $1,500.
