Schorl (Bedogne Coll.)

Item Description

Two, lustrous, sharp, trigonal schorl crystals, to 2.3 cm, are aesthetically intergrown and are jauntily set on the sculptural feldspar matrix. Tiny schorls peppered on the matrix are a nice accessory. The divot on the front, where another schorl once lay, adds character. Excellent Pech schorl from the Francesco Bedogne Collection # 361. Dr. Bedogne, 1942-2012, was a well-known Italian mineralogist, prolific author, field collector and collector.
