Item Description
A 1.3 x 1.2 x 0.6 cm, lustrous, jet-black schorl crystal is aesthetically set on the sculptural quartz pegmatite matrix. Impressions of two more schorl crystals on the quartz add character to this showy small cabinet. A lightly bruised outside corner is certainly only a modest detraction to this fine rarity. The piece displays well without aid and is from a very RARE Sondrio Province locality - the Dombastone valley. NOTE: THIS AUCTION ITEM IS DONATED BY DR. MARCO BOCCARDI TO BENEFIT MINDAT.
