Schorl and hyalite opal

One of the finest Schorl specimens of this particular habit that I have seen from the Erongo Mts. Every single crystal in this 7 cm cluster has superb luster and incredibly sharp form. It is complete all around, and intergrown with a sharp white mineral with a habit that ranges from rectangular prisms to acicular needles: Hyalite Opal, but it fluoresces rose more like a Mn-Calcite. It is very attractive either way and in either light. The Schorl crystals range from .5 cm up to 2.5 cm. Even better in person. A killer in its own right.
