Item Description
An impressive, stout, 7.5 cm, highly lustrous, well-striated jet-black schorl crystal with a striking, unusual complex pyramidal termination is expertly swathed in contrasting clusters of lustrous, frosted cleavelandite blades. Complete all-around. A termination edge contact and another contact lower on the back of the schorl are noted, but are out-of-sight in the fine primary display view. Both contacts have very little bruising. Ex Taylor Hunt Collection, from 1990s or early 2000s finds that look different than contemporary modern material. Classic and very showy schorl and cleavelandite combination from well-known Shengus with a large schorl crystal.
