Item Description
This rare Niobium Borate is the Niobium analogue of Behierite, and good matrix specimens are nearly impossible to find now, especially considering it truly is found from only two small localities in the world. This is a very good example of this incredibly rare species. It features a well formed, sharp, dark brownish color crystal of Schiavinatoite measuring 7 mm! on Feldspar matrix. There are very few rare earth Borates in the mineral world, and this is a great opportunity for rare species collectors to cross this one off their checklist. This piece was valued at $800 in my inventory.
