Item Description

Here we have a classic Scheelite specimen from the Dongshan mine in China. These specimens are probably second to the killer red/orange Scheelites from Xueboading, but they have been on the market for quite a while. This piece features a very sharp, lustrous, well-formed, soft brownish-grey pseudo-octahedron of Scheelite with green Fluorite at the base. Under SW UV light, the Scheelite glows with a bright lilac-white fluorescence, and under LW UV light, the color is more of a pale/subdued orange shade. Not completely undamaged, but still good quality for the species and the locality, especially from the standpoint of luster.
