Mineral specimens from this ancient mining district are RARE! The Romans mined in the area! The last mine closed in the 1950s (MINDAT). The sharp, lustrous, translucent, honey-brown, tetragonal scheelite crystal has a striking stepped-growth face and has nifty embedded stibnite needles. A rare and excellent old-time combination, that comes with a faded label. Bright ghost-white fluorescence. valued $800-1000
