Item Description

Scheelite specimens from this obscure Mexican locale in Sonora are seldom on the market. This very rich yellow-orange complex floater crystal has high luster and fine gemmy trasparent to translucent sections. In person, the rich yellow-orange color is really quite different than Chinese material we see today and similar to but brighter and more gemmy than the old Korean scheelites. I am told that they are thought to have come out prior to the 1970s but perhaps as far back as the 1940s. Bright white fluorescence! Ex Ernie Schlichter Collection. Valued at $200 for quality and rarity.
