Item Description
Nicely formed, and complex, this is one of the better California Scheelites you are likely to see from a rare locality of the mid-1900s that few people even know existed. The crystal is a water-clear, CUTTABLE colorless gem with frosted faces and one clear window into the glassy interior. The Scheelite also has bright white fluorescence, typical for the species. Sadly, many, if not most, of these Scheelites were cut into tiny gems, which has only served to make them even more rare. Classic older material, it comes with an old Wards label. From the noted historic classics collection of Richard 'Dick' Hauck of New Jersey. 7 grams. These are so rare - you only see them in old collections occasionally!
