Item Description

Scheelite is not that common from Pakistan and this is an excellent and aesthetic combination piece from the small 2006 find. A 2.5 cm, compound crystal of intergrown octahedrons (pristine) with high luster, translucence and rich honey-amber color is jauntily set on a plate covered with glassy, water-clear quartz spikes to about 2.8 cm. A few bruised quartzes are noted, but they are certainly not a detraction. Scheelite finds are very rare - the vast majority on the market come from China, and to a lesser extent, Vietnam. So this find is quite significant. Bright white fluorescence, as you would expect.
