Item Description
This is a large, and yet aesthetic, specimen of Scheelite from this classic old Korean tin-tungsten mine. Scheelite from this locality is highly desirable for their rarity and size, and are extremely uncommon on the market today; and this one is probably 60 years or more out of the ground. This large miniature specimen features a cluster of three, very lustrous, deep plum-gray Scheelite crystals with the largest and totally complete crystal measuring 4.5 cm across. The other two crystals measure 3.4 and 2.7 cm, respectively, and these show a little contacting from adjacent Scheelite crystals this piece grew with in the pocket. It displays dramatically on its own and, as an added bonus, it fluoresces a bright creamy white under shortwave ultraviolet light!
