An impressive, large 7.4 cm, tetragonal, pyramidal scheelite crystal accented with cute double terminations from famous Mt. Xuebaoding. The very glassy, highly lustrous, translucent crystal has rich orange color. The field of pearlescent muscovite plates on one side is a super accessory and complement to this sculptural piece. The crystals GLOWS, when back lit. Ghostly white fluorescence. The bottom left corner is cleaved and the lower part of the right side is contacted so it is not perfect but this remains a very showy, highly representative small cabinet with a large scheelite crystal nicely accented with muscovite. The world's finest scheelites come from here. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection and acquired in 1994 when they were briefly common....the "flood" of world class scheelite is pretty much over and most new material is smaller and of pale color in comparison. HEAVY - 718 grams, nearly 2 pounds!
