A 3.6 x 3.4 x 3.2 cm, sharp, lustrous, tetragonal, butterscotch-colored scheelite crystal with beautiful translucence is aesthetically set on matrix of highly pearlescent muscovite plates with albite on this showy and excellent combinatino specimen from recent finds at Mt. Xuebaoding, China. These scheelites are generally considered to be the finest in the world and this is a textbook example. Part of one face and an edge are contacted and bruised, but are out-of-sight in the primary display view. Ghostly white fluorescence.
