Item Description
An aesthetic combination plate from this well-known Chinese locality. Translucent to gemmy, classic rich orange, tetragonal scheelite crystals are lined up like the Great Pyramids. The large crystal is 1.7 cm tall. The muscovite-covered plate hosts a nifty surprise with a hard-to-see, water-clear, colorless, tabular, gem, 1.1 x 0.9 cm fluorapatite crystal resting against a muscovite plate tower. The Herb Obodda label is incorrect as his "beryl" fluoreces ghostly white, just like the scheelites. The large scheelite has a lightly bruised termination, but this remains a very fine combination from this locale.
