Item Description

This locality has produced some of the most distinctive and signature specimens from China. The best of the Scheelites are incredible and world class for what they are. This particular piece features a 2.3 cm distinctive, sharp, lustrous, translucent, rich golden orange color, pseudo-octahedral crystal of Scheelite sitting on compressed, bladed, silvery-beige Muscovite crystals. The quality is very good but the base of the piece is sawn. The piece can be displayed from several angles as you can see from the photos. A great quality specimen from this unique locality. From the collection of Paolo Matioli. The label erroneously states the piece is from the Mianyang Mine, and mentions the association of Nanpingite, but neither is correct.
