Pingwu is a storied locality, with this well-formed and splendent small-cabinet piece showing just why Scheelite is considered a signature species for the mine. Superb, glassy luster serves to make the appealing, mottled-orange color really shine through with typical style. 2.5 cm (on edge), the Scheelites display well from multiple angles, and they can beautifully frame the well-formed Quartz. The strong, blue-white fluorescence is both attractive and classic. Resting on a bed of Muscovite blades, this is an aesthetic specimen of a quality, color, and style that is highly representative for this important locality. This is some of the oldest and first material to come out to western markets, and has a particularly deep color! Valued $2500-3500.
