Item Description
This is probably one of the best California scheelites you are ever likely to see for sheer quality - and they are rare at any level. The crystal is gemmy, complex and complete all around. Its growth around the epidote makes for an interesting combination specimen. The scheelite also fluoresces white/yellow under SW/LW UV. A beautiful gem scheelite! Many, sadly, were actually cut into teeny tiny gems by early California mineral and gem collectors who found them fascinating! Relatively few specimens were found and fewer still survived. This is truly a RARE AMEREICAN GEM thumbnail! Valued ??
