Item Description

In the 1970's-1980's, the Camp Bird mine produced some very characteristic Scheelite specimens. These crystals have an easily recognizable brownish hue (with slight golden overtones). Most of these Scheelite crystals will fluoresce a bright blue-white color under SW UV light. The crystals on this specimen show good pyramidal tetragonal form with above average luster, and sharp faces. The piece is in good shape overall. The largest crystal measures 1.5 cm.
