This is a stout, unusual crystal of red-tinted Scapolite with well-developed, and sharp termination. The termination looks so sharp because it has both first and second order prism faces , and fabulous luster! The color is actually a very rich red-orange and the crystal displays a chatoyance in local areas of the crystal, really unlike others we have seenl. It is contacted on the back and bottom, but complete on the display face. A highly unusual, colorful, gem crystal species from this amazing deposit! 65 grams
