Item Description

A decent representative specimen of the Scapolites from Otter Lake featuring a group of intergrown, prismatic, white crystals measuring up to 2.6 cm long with minor associated dark brown Titanite crystals. Several Scapolite crystals have undamaged terminations, but there are some dings here and there. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9786). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
