Scapolite (rare locality crystal) ex Ed Bancroft Coll.

Item Description

Scapolite is very rare from the famous Bancroft area of Canada. This is an outstanding, parallel-growth cluster of sharp and sharply terminated, pearlescent, creamy-tan scapolite crystals with nice translucence. The primary crystal termination is complete all-around and pristine, with the back of piece being contacted. Fine orange-pink fluorescence. Possibly unique material from this noted locale. Self collected by him in the 1970s and long in the Ed Bancroft Collection.
