A cool Scapolite gem from Afghanistan. Typically Scapolites are found in either yellow or purple stones. Technically the species are Meionite and Marialite but in the gem word they're almost always referred to as Scapolite. It is a beautiful, essentially colorless stone with an "Oval Brilliant" cut. A rare stone collector can certainly appreciate the rarity of a piece like this. Very slight inclusions, but how often does one see colorless Scapolite on the market? Valued at $405.00 retail.
