Item Description
Here we have a cool Scapolite with a rare color (or lack thereof) from Afghanistan. The vast majority of Scapolite gem occur in either yellow or purple stones. Technically the species are Meionite and Marialite but in the gem word they're almost always referred to as Scapolite. This stone is a beautiful, essentially colorless gem with an "Oval Brilliant" cut. I would think that a rare stone collector can certainly appreciate the uniqueness of a gem like this. Very slight inclusions, but how often does one see colorless Scapolite on the market?
