Item Description

A 100% GEM QUALITY / WATER CLEAR, soft yellow color, thick prismatic crystal of Scapolite (Marialite-Meionite Series) from the Morogoro Region, Tanzania. As is often the case with any gemmy Scapolite crystal, the color is much stronger when viewing the crystal down the "c" axis, as you can see in the last photo. These crystals came from a find in the 1980s and very little has been seen over the years. If you collect gem crystals, or specifically Scapolites from around the world, do not miss out on your chance to get your hands on a wonderful representation of these beautiful crystals from this fairly obscure locality. Specimen weight is 19.30 grams.
