Scapolite gem crystal (large - 74 grams)

Wow! A fabulous, large gem-quality scapolite from Tanzania. This golden crystal is absolutely water-clear and the luster is intense. The striking striated faces and fantastic offset chisel termination add real pizzazz. One side and the base were broken, as it was removed from matrix, but still the piece displays impressively with those sides hidden. Trivial edge wear exists on some other sides, but which has no effect at all on the overall impactful aesthetics of the crystal although it diminishes the value somewhat from what it could otherwise command ($5000-plus if perfect). A superb, large miniature scapolite crystal with unusually INTENSE saturated yellow color! 74 grams mass. This is a LARGE crystal for the locale.
