Scapolite (gem crystal!)

This is a superb, slender prismatic, gem crystal of Scapolite from this Tanzanian marble occurrence that has produced some of the best golden Scapolite over the years. The color of this crystal is a sublime golden amber-brown and upon careful inspection, it reveals moderate pleochroism or color change in perpendicular directions, for added effect. It is almost entirely gem with only a single internal fracture near the base and a few barely discernible, veiled internal inclusions. The color and form of this crystal is very reminiscent of Imperial Topaz from Brazil. The crystal is lustrous, gemmy and pristine and complete all around with only a trace of edge rubbing.
