Scapolite

Item Description

Scapolite is not a species, but is often assigned to gems as it is more recognizable to most collectors. The actual species are Meionite and Marialite. Here we have a good gem crystal with attrcative yellow color, and sharp, lustrous faces. It is WATER CLEAR, and glows with color, even in a smaller sized specimen. This Tanzanian material is fairly new to the market, but already seems to be in very short supply in recent years. This is a nice thumbnail and it looks better in person.
