Scapolite is one of those stones that you rarely find in large cut gems. It is very very difficult to find clean gems that weigh over 5 carats. This stone is great because it's a superb, very nearly eye clean, good size, very well cut "Quantum Emerald Brilliant" gem. This Tanzanian material is fairly new to the market, but is almost impossible to find in gems this size in recent years. This is a very fine collector's stone and it looks great in sunlight and indoor lighting. Good cutting, quality, size, color - an all-around great gem for a stone that is truly only found in a few world localities.
