Item Description
Here we have a fairly rare specimen of Scapolite (Marialite?) from Haliburton Co., Ontario. This thumbnail sized piece hosts a few sharp, translucent to opaque, prismatic crystals measuring up to 2.0 cm. There are some separation marks where the piece was removed from the pocket wall, but overall it's in good shape. These are not commonly seen on the market, despite the numerous localities where Scapolite has been reported in Haliburton County.
