Item Description
This piece is labeled as being Sarcolite with the name Scapolite written below in parentheses. I'm not 100% certain which is correct for this particular specimen, so if anybody has information as to the identity of this piece, please feel free to let us know. The piece features dark greenish-black prisms measusring up to 2.6 cm that show a brilliant pink fluorescence under UV light. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8828) with a label from Arthur Kusche of Munich. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
