Item Description

Sapphire gems are some of the most celebrated stones througout history. People typically associate Sapphire with the color blue (the stone gets its name from the Greek word "sappheiros", which literally means blue), but they occur in wide range of hues, including colorless and black. This stone is an odd soft peach-yellow colored gem with near eye-clean clarity (I can see a VERY slight inclusion with a 10x loupe) and a "Step Cushion" cut. It's not common to find stones over 1 carat with such exotic colors like this, and if you're a fan of Sapphires or simply uniquely colored precious gems, don't pass this one up.
