Sapphire (un-heated)

Item Description

This stone is a beautiful un-heated Sapphire from Tanzania. If you look closely, you can see the gem has a very slight bi-color effect, as it shows a semi-metallic looking blue color with a silvery hue in spots. It almost reminds me of a Spinel, as they can tend to have a more metallic appearance. This stone is very very slightly included with an "Round Oval" cut. The combination of having an un-heated gem with a slight bi-colored appearance is certainly desirable, and this stone is over 1 carat is weight, so it would make a superb addition to any collection or as the center stone for a piece of jewelry.
